Located in the village center of Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard, this infill development introduces a series of compact duplex homes designed to integrate into the walkable, residential fabric of the neighborhood. Developed in collaboration with a local partner, the project provides a mix of affordable and market-rate housing at a higher density, while remaining sensitive to the surrounding context.

Set on a flag lot nestled behind existing single-family homes, the site’s design centers on a mews-style layout—efficient two-bedroom duplexes arranged around a shared central drive. This site strategy fosters a sense of community and creates a modest, pedestrian-friendly scale, aligning with the character of the adjacent neighborhood.

The architecture takes cues from local forms and materials to ensure the new homes integrate quietly into their setting.
